If you aren't a singer, don't disregard yourself as a topliner (songwriter focused on vocals) for K-Pop song pitching!
You can still write great melodies, you just need to team up with a solid singer who can help deliver your ideas. I prefer it this way as the melody becomes a shared experience between two people, which can lead to more interesting ideas.
When I was writing songs in my band years ago this was the same scenario.
I've never been a good singer but I could still write catchy hooks, melodies and interesting lyrics. It was helpful having less technical vocal ability because it forced me to write the melodies in a very simplistic way.
What has your own experience been like when writing songs?
